The Red Devils completed the signing of Wan-Bissaka on Saturday for a fee of £45million and the 21-year-old is expected to be Solskjaer’s first choice at right-back. Dalot, 20, arrived in an £18m deal from Porto last summer and Jose Mourinho claimed midway through last season that he would be United’s right-back for the next decade. The Portuguese defender made 18 appearances under Solskjaer last term and was utilised further upfield in a right midfield position. Though Wan-Bissaka was always expected to become first choice, Dalot was not expected to be a victim of the deal given his tactical flexibility and Solskjaer’s desire to have two players for every position. However, the Evening Standard claim that the former Porto man has been put up for sale after being told he’s surplus to requirements at the Theatre of Dreams. Dalot’s departure would be a huge surprise given United have handed new deals to the likes of Ashley Young and Phil Jones in recent months. However, it is clear that Solskjaer is keen to make the United squad his own this summer and there are expected to be a number of departures in the coming weeks. Matteo Darmian, Marcos Rojo and Romelu Lukaku could all leave the club with Inter Milan preparing a financial package to sign the Belgian.
